Out of curiosity, what #FediVerse applications _other_ than Mastodon have you used?

@Jürgen Hubert I have a PixelFed Instance, but I rarely use it; I don't really know how to integrate it into my social media use. I figure that will come with time.

@Jürgen Hubert I've tried PixelFed and PeerTube. I spent a chunk of time trying to use Hubzilla. Before that I think I tried Friendica very briefly and Diaspora but it hadn't really attracted a critical mass of users yet. I'm open to trying Mastodon alternatives, and have one I'd like to build. I'd also like to try out Lemmy and Kbin but haven't had time yet.

- I have my own #gotosocial server, but use a mastodon frontend, so maybe that just counts as Mastodon?

My #Fediverse usage (only as client, not host)

- #Lemmy - my 1st fed experience
- #Pixelfed - 2nd fed; unused now, pure images don't do it for me
- #Piefed - now preferred over Lemmy; daily
- #Peertube - barely used
- #Sharkey - barely used
- #Hubzilla - unused, can't get back in
- #NeoDB - heavily used now for media cataloguing, #WatchParty collections etc
- #Owncast - attending a #WatchParty 1-2 times /week
- #IbisWiki - wrote 2 pages, now prefer @JoinFediverseWiki

Ich habe Friendica und Hubzilla ausprobiert und habe noch einen Pixelfed Account.
Ich überlege noch Iceshrimp oder etwas in der Art auszuprobieren. Habe dazu aber momentan wenig Zeit.

Aside from Mastodon, currently I use:

#Friendica (as both social media and as an RSS reader. I wish more fedi software had RSS reading built in.)
#GoToSocial (To run an automated account)

but in the past I have tried

#Lemmy
#Hubzilla (I really did not like trying to use this one)
#WriteFreely (It was easier to to put up a writefreely instance to serve a single blog post than it would have been to put up a static webpage)

I do still want to try out some other ones, too, but that's not what you were inquiring about. And finally I am assuming you didn't mean the various android apps like moshidon or fedilab.
